This week, I’ve been suffering from tonsillitis. The glamourous life of a blogger, eh?
Although I’m almost over it now, it means I haven’t done anything particularly note-worthy or had any blog-worthy thoughts. To be honest other than moaning and wallowing, I don’t think I’ve had any proper thoughts. As such, I thought this week, let’s keep it simple. A simple image and a simple round up of beauty products I think are pretty amaze. In no particular order…
The first on my list may not be the coolest or instagramable thing ever, but I love it. Suffering from dry skin means I’m always a sucker for a good moisturizer; but when I’m busy, it starts to feel like a bit of a blag. I bought this Vaseline Spray and Go Body Moisturizer in the vain hope it would at least try and live to the ‘spray and go’ name. FYI – it does. By the time you’ve done the other leg, the first one is soaked in and it leaves you feeling amazingly soft. Somewhat surprisingly it sprays out a bit like a sun-cream, so there’s that as well.
This lovely lipstick is currently in a battle over being my go to lip colour (against a pound land bargain mentioned in this post) but at the moment it is still on top. I love this one because the colour is just so damn cheery and glamourous, and it brightens any looks immeasurably. It could be, because it is quite bright, but I’m also putting it down to the fact it’s fairly warm in tone, yet still flattering to someone with a cool complexion. Just trust me on this one, and go try it.
This nailcolour is one of my favourites because if like me you are amused by small things, just watching it change colour in the bottle is pretty fun. Is it green, is it gold, is it blue-tinted? Who knows? What we do know is that it goes on like a dream to say it is metallic. As I’m not wearing it at the mo, I don’t have any images (my bad) but google them to see what I mean about the colour-change thing.
OK, on the rare days I can be arsed to actually curl my eyelashes, instead of just waving the wand about whilst half asleep, people have asked if I’m wearing false lashes. Secret info: I’m not, I’m wearing Maybelline’s Falsie mascara. It makes my lashes so long and fluttery, I feel like I’d be able to get away with anything just by looking all bright eyed and coy.
Sticking with the eyes, my Collection gel eyeliner has been featured on this blog before, but the colour is intense. It lasts all day and to say the brush is teeny-tiny it gives surprisingly good controlling, equal flicks come to mumma.
If you can recommend any products I haven’t mentioned, let me know, because lets face it – we all love an excuse to buy more products.
